Not himself...

My little man is not himself today. He's had runny diapers for about 24 hours, and its beginning to take a toll on his bottom :(
He is very uncomfy, whimpering every once and a while, and sleeping more than normal. Even when he is awake his eyes don't have that twinkle that is normal for him. They look dark and sad. I'm putting in a call to the dr, as I'm unsure about how to treat/nurish him since he's a formula baby. In the meantime- say a prayer for my little guy.

With a heavy heart

I ask you to pray for this family. I have never met them, but they are local to me. Our family has been praying them through this journey....and it has taken a frightening turn....please take time to lift this precious family to the Throne of Grace.

Prayers

Can you believe its been six years since the towers fell? I was pregnant with Connor when it happened. Life was very different back then. My prayers today are with the victims' families and with our troups that are fighting to keep us safe.

That being said- I have to ask very vaguely for prayers for our family. We are going through a very difficult time right now. I am having a very hard time dealing, having a hard time eating/sleeping etc. I really don't want to go into much detail on such a public forrum, but we certainly need your prayers right now.

Thinking of...

All of my friends who are taking their little ones to school today. Many of them are starting Kindergarten. :) I'm praying everyone's morning went very smooth.

Please keep a friend of mine in your prayers. She is struggling with some very harsh medical issues, the doctors at this time aren't really sure what is wrong with her. But she is very worn out physically and emotionally. Her and I sat for a while last night at church while the kids were in Awana, and talked. My heart is heavy with burden for her. So if you think about it, keep her in your prayers. Today especially as she has an appt.

OWIE!!

I am in so much pain right now :(
There is a spot on my back that is tender to the touch all the time. No clue why, but I even have to be careful about the waistline of my pants, because if they hit in that spot, even that amount of pressure hurts. My chiro has never been able to figure out why either.
Anyway, that being explained. Last night we were sitting on the couch watching America's Got Talent. Connor was sitting on the arm of the couch behind me, and fell off, slamming his legs from the knee down directly onto that spot. The pain was blindingly intense, I didn't even realize I was crying until Aaron told me. I was sore the rest of the night, didn't sleep well at all, and can hardly move this morning. :( If I had any say in it, the kids would be going somewhere for the day, I'd be taking a pain pill and crawling back in bed. Instead, powering through.
Going to do school, and hopefully get through it quickly so I can lounge on the couch the rest of the day until time to get ready for our meeting.
Pray for me. I hurt. :(

One-Hundred!!!!!

This is my one-hundreth post on this blog! Woohoo! :) If you are a reader out there but don't comment, now might be the time to leave a comment. Ya know, just giving me your kuddos and all for sticking with something :)
I have a lot going on in my brain this morning. So bear with me if its all jumbled and runs together.

School starts in 10 days. I considered pushing it back, but then changed my mind. I really want to get a full two weeks of school in for the kids before we go on our field trip to Sci-Port on Labor Day. I feel ready on one hand, but then on the other I feel like I will never be ready.

My friend Lisa is in the air as we speak. Keep her in your prayers this week, she is flying out to Cali to be with her sister for a week. She left the kids behind with her hubby, and was having a very hard time with the thought of being away from them for so long. So if you remember, say a few prayers for her while she's away.

I started scrapbooking last night, and I think its safe to say, I'm addicted! Hobby Lobby had a bunch of stuff half off, and then I used a 40% off coupon for a kit, that had a bunch of stuff in it. I did pay full price for some papers, and then some of the 3d stickers that I just had to have.
I can tell I have a lot of learning to do, but I don't think my first layouts are to bad. I might have to snap some pics of them later so you can see them. But I'm already thinking about my next shopping trip and what else I want. :) I am going to take on organizing some more of these digigal pictures for scrapbooking later today.

Hmmm, I know I had more I wanted to say, but it all escapes me at the moment. So I guess thats it. Happy 100th post to me!

Good Thursday Morning to ya...

So how was everyone's 4th? What did you do? We went out to my aunts house as usual. :)
Lots of fun, even though it was quite wet. Bluch. I'm so tired of the rain, but the good thing is its keeping temps down. So anywho- I'll post a few pictures from last night in a few. There are a couple good artsy sparkler shots here.

We had a pie eating contest, and set off some firecrackers. And more than enough great food.
However, after we got home, I found out that my uncle's brother and family had been in a wreck right after they left. They left right after us, and traveled the same road we did. My uncle's brother and their 5 year old daughter were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The boys and the mom were ok. A guy ran a stop sign and broadsided them. So keep them in your prayers today, as they deal with all the technicalities of the wreck, plus try to recover. Even though mom and boys are fine, I'm sure they will be very very sore.

Ok, off to post pictures, and start being productive. :)

Praying for the Wrong Thing?

Aaron and I got into a discussion yesterday. We are beginning to wonder if we aren't praying for the wrong thing, regarding the housing situation. We keep saying we HAVE to move to Marshall, but yet nothing is coming available, and we really don't have the money for a move right now. After church yesterday we were discussing this and began to wonder if maybe we weren't finding anything because we aren't supposed to move. If we move out of Longview, we wouldn't be able to stay involved in our church as much as we want to be- and we have no desire to change churches.

So we've decided to be content about our current situation- and pray for guidance as far as a move goes.

And We're Off

I'm preparing to leave for Tyler. My daddy actually is able to come with me so that was answer to prayer #1 :) I expect to see many more before the day is out.
I just thought I'd post this quick reminder to keep us in your prayers. I'll update when I get home

Dr Appt

We had Matthew's 2 month and Grace's 3 year check ups today. Miss Grace got three shots- and weighed in at 25lbs and 35 1/2 inches. So petite!

Matthew on the other hand weighed 13.2lbs and was 23inches long. :) He's a porker. That baby fat is so cute though!

However- we are concerned that there might be something wrong with his vision. He doesn't fix and stare like a baby his age should. So Dr C referred us to a pediatric opthomologist. I have to drive to Tyler to see him. His appt is Monday at 8:30 so keep us in your prayers!

Please Pray

I just got word that one of my fellow March 2002 mommies has been diagnosed with breast cancer. :*(

Please keep Lois and her family in your prayers.
